Target 2: A preliminary assessment of the conservation status of all known plant species at national, regional and international levels

Once a checklist has been produced, the next step is to set priorities for conservation work through assessing the status of species. The UK is aiming to assess the status of all plants and some groups of algae and fungi and to review this work regularly to ensure that assessments are as up to date as possible. The UK is also providing informed input to European and Global assessments of species status.
