Target 8: 60 per cent of threatened plant species in accessible ex situ collections, preferably in the country of origin, and 10 per cent of them included in recovery and restoration programmes

In situ conservation programmes are supported by ex situ measures in the form of living collections, seed banks and tissue culture collections. A variety of ex situ measures exist in the UK, focusing on species that are on Red Data lists and/or on the UK BAP.
