Plants are essential to everyone's lives. Welcome to Plantlife.
Leave a legacy
Have you considered remembering Plantlife in your Will? It could be a wonderful gift to future generations.
When you make or change your Will, your first thought will naturally be to leave your loved ones secure. But many people find there is also room to leave a gift to a cause they hold dear, such as Plantlife’s work of conserving wild flowers and plants.
It doesn’t have to be a large gift. It could be a share of the ‘residue’ of your estate – in other words, what is left after other gifts and debts have been paid. It could be a fixed amount of money, or a valuable object such as an antique. But whatever you give could literally make a world of difference.
Why leave a gift to Plantlife in your will?
The gifts that supporters leave us in their wills are very important to us. They help to protect our heritage of wild flowers – and by doing so, they bring beauty into our lives and joy to thousands of people. More specifically, they help us purchase and manage countryside of outstanding botanical importance and they support our vital programmes to conserve endangered wild plant species for the benefit of future generations.
It’s a great feeling to know that, even when you are no longer here, your gift will go on working to create a green, beautiful and healthy environment for the people who come after us. Not only that, but by leaving a gift to Plantlife in your Will you could also reduce your inheritance tax liability. Your gift, like any gift to a registered charity, will be deducted from the value of your estate before taxation is assessed.
Changing your will
Even if you already have a will, it is easy and inexpensive to change it to include a gift to Plantlife. Just ask your solicitor or your accountant or bank manager if they were responsible for making your will. If you would like a copy of our useful guide to making or changing your will, please contact us at the address below.
If you do decide to leave a legacy to Plantlife or have already done so we would be very grateful if you would let us know by writing to us at the address below.
