National Plant Monitoring Scheme

The state of our countryside is ever changing. Help us monitor the state of our flora by taking part in the National Plant Monitoring Scheme

Conservation activities in the field

Practical conservation activities are listed amongst other events on our Activities page. It's easy to take part, no prior experience is necessary and there is no membership requirement.

Office volunteers

Plantlife occasionally has opportunities for dynamic volunteers to help at our friendly head office in Salisbury and our Scottish office in Stirling.

Although the work is office based, it offers a practical way to contribute to Plantlife's efforts in saving wild plants. For those wishing to pursue a career in conservation, it offers valuable work experience and a good insight into the UK and international conservation sectors.

The duties are varied and ideally you should be computer literate. We use MS Office applications. We would like you to be able to commit to one day a week if possible. We pay all reasonable travel expenses.

If you are interested please contact us on enquiries@plantlife.org.uk / 01722 342730 (for Salisbury opportunities) or scotland@plantlife.org.uk / 01786 478509 (for Stirling opportunities) for an informal chat.
