Plants are essential to everyone's lives. Welcome to Plantlife.
Volunteer
Office volunteers
Plantlife occasionally has opportunities for dynamic volunteers to help at our friendly head office in Salisbury and our Scottish office in Stirling.
Although the work is office
based, it offers a practical way to contribute to Plantlife’s efforts in
saving wild plants. For those wishing to pursue a career in
conservation, it offers valuable work experience and a good insight into
the UK and international conservation sectors.
The duties are varied and ideally you should be computer literate. We use MS Office applications. We would like you to be able to commit to one day a week if possible. We pay all reasonable travel expenses.
If you are interested please contact us on enquiries@plantlife.org.uk / 01722 342730 (for Salisbury opportunities) or scotland@plantlife.org.uk / 01786 478509 (for Stirling opportunities) for an informal chat.
Conservation activities in the field
Help to conserve Britain’s most threatened plants by becoming a Plantlife Flora Guardian, one of our dedicated field volunteers. Practical conservation activities are listed on our Activities page. It’s easy to take part, no prior experience is necessary and there is no membership requirement.

Undertaking surveys
The state of our countryside is ever changing. Taking part in one of our surveys gives us vital information as to the wellbeing of our wild plants and fungi, which can influence not only our conservation work but our campaigns. If you would like to take part, visit our Wildflowers Count page.
If you are considering taking part in a Plantlife survey, please take time to read our ‘Health and safety’ and ‘Access rights and responsibilities’ guidance first.
