An attractive, upright moss.
It is a small plant and can be distinguished from other bryum species by its leaves. As its name suggests, these are blunt.
Once known from over twelve sites, it is now restricted to just one site in Wales and three in Scotland.
Bare sand in coastal dune slacks.
It is considered Vulnerable in Britain.
