Water figwort Scrophularia auriculata

The flowers are small and bulbous in shape and are brown/red in colour.
The leaves are oval in shape and often have two small lobes at their base. The square stem is also quite distinctive as it has four wings, one on each corner.
Found only occasionally in western parts of Britain.
As the name suggests this plant likes moist places such woods and marshes that are near to fresh water.
