Strangford Lough IPA

Location: South east of Belfast. The A22 from Belfast lies to its west and the A20 skirts its eastern shore.

Strangford Lough is a large (150km²) shallow sea lough situated on the east coast of County Down, Northern Ireland.

About a third of the lough is intertidal. The southern half of Strangford Lough has high algal diversity and maerl beds.

This IPA has been identified for stonewort and habitat interest.
