Stockwood Meadows

Location: near Inkberrow, Redditch, Worcestershire

Grid Reference: SO 998 586

Note: a private lane limits access to occasional guided walks or visits by prior arrangement with the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (WWT).

This attractive reserve consists of two small meadows within the former ancient Forest of Feckenham, and is managed by the WWT on our behalf.

Hidden away down narrow lanes, the meadows are well worth the effort of arranging a visit. They are lush in season with meadowsweet and common knapweed. Green-winged, early-purple and common spotted orchids and cowslips are showy components of the flora; quaking-grass, fairy flax and salad burnet demand more searching.

Purchase of the reserve was made possible by Unilever (Timotei).
