Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)

The Foxglove defines Leicestershire's uplands and the woods and bracken swards of Charnwood Forest. By contrast, it is scarce in the agricultural east of the county.

Habitat: woodland clearings, heaths and banks. Flowers: June-September.
