Orthotrichum pallens Pale bristle-moss

Pale bristle-moss (Orthotrichum pallens) grows on the bark of trees with base-rich bark such as elm, elder and sycamore and is restricted to just nine sites, eight in Weardale, Co. Durham and one in North Yorkshire.
