Also known as 'spotted cinquefoil', this pretty trailing flower puts on a cheerful display in the spring. As its name suggests, it is one of the first cinquefoils to bloom.
Each flower typically has yellow petals that sprout from low-lying stems.
Habitat
Rocks and cliffs.
Best time to see
Flowers from April to June.
County flower of Cromarty.
