Rosie has keen interests in landscape and the environment, in sciences, education, outreach work and public engagement.
After studying agricultural and forest sciences, Rosie worked in plant science and forestry research. She later moved into science management roles in higher education and third sector organisations. During this time, her responsibilities included areas such as governance, funding and major projects, HR and external relations.
Rosie has a long-standing connection with Wales and made the country her home in 2006. She spent six years as Director of the National Botanic Garden of Wales, leading its development and raising its profile. Whilst there, she successfully won significant partnership funding for projects including landscape restoration.
A member of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, Rosie is also a Welsh Government appointee on the Board of Natural Resources Wales, and a Senior Independent Panel Member for Public Appointments in Wales.
