An upland relative of the true forget-me-not.
Its sky-blue flowers are almost identical. The difference lies in the stems which are shorter. The flowers have a white inner ring and a yellow centre. County flower of Westmorland.
Confined in England to a few limestone hill-tops in the north Pennines. The old county of Westmorland has most of them.
Rocky limestone hilltops.

Flowers from July to August.
