Meet our Ambassador

We are thrilled to announce our brand-new ambassador Leif Bersweden who will sharing his passion for wild plants and championing our work.

Leif Bersweden

Writer, botanist and nature communicator Leif Bersweden is a big champion for wild plants and the joy they can bring. His passion for nature started at a young age, growing up in rural Wiltshire where he taught himself how to identify local flora. He even did a brief work experience stint at Plantlife back in the day.

Leif has written a successful book called ‘Where the Wildflowers Grow’ and appeared on Springwatch. He also shares his passion and knowledge of wild plants on his popular Instagram account.

Recently, Leif also attended the Restore Nature Now march in London with the Plantlife team and gave an inspiring speech asking people to “shout and sing…for plants, for people and for nature”.

Leif Bersweden says: “I have a face-down, bum in the air approach to looking at nature and I spend the vast majority of my time crouched down on the ground getting eye-to-leaf with some beautiful plants.

Plants mean everything to me, they have done my entire life – and sharing that love and joy and excitement of looking for them with other people, is something I care enormously about.”
