One in four of our projects are supported by supporters leaving Plantlife gifts of all sizes in wills. Plantlife has partnered with expert will-writing service Octopus Legacy to offer you an opportunity to make your will for free.
People leave us gifts in their wills for many reasons – from love of the nature, wild plants and fungi, to wanting to ensure a future countryside full of colour and diversity for future generations.

We have put together some answers to the most common questions and concerns about including a gift in your will to Plantlife.
It can be daunting making a will for the first time or changing your will, but it is easier than you might think.
Plantlife has partnered with Octopus Legacy (experts in will writing) to guide you through the process – online, by phone or in person. Anyone can write a simple will for free and can pledge to charity at the same time.

This is entirely your decision, but the main things to consider are:
You can ask that your gift is put towards a specific geographic area of Plantlife’s work (e.g. England, Wales, Scotland or Internationally). However, it is likely that Plantlife will not receive your gift for sometime after you have made your will, so if your gift is unrestricted we can use it where it is most needed at the time.
If you would like your gift to be linked to a specific part of our work please contact us before you finalise your will, so we check that we are able to meet your wishes.
If Plantlife is a beneficiary in a will or codicil that you are administrating please contact
