Tim Jones

Tim is has a life-long passion for wildlife and has dedicated more than 35 years to Welsh conservation. Throughout this time, he has especially enjoyed working with farmers and land managers to raise awareness of the value of biodiversity.

Tim is a fluent Welsh speaker and began his career helping to preserve sand dunes at Morfa Harlech National Nature Reserve. He later became an area warden in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

In 1992, Tim joined the Countryside Council for Wales as a field officer on a scheme called Tir Cymen. He spent the next five years helping farmers to manage their land for wildlife as well as agriculture. Tim later became part of the government team which set up Natural Resources Wales, where he spent eight years as Operations Director.

Tim now runs his own environmental consultancy and is a member of the Snowdonia National Park Authority. He is also a non-executive director with several charities.
