Come and be part of a global voice for wild plants and fungi
Plantlife’s No Mow May Movement is back for 2026 – help nature and let your lawn grow this May and beyond!
Over 25% of Britain’s native plants are threatened with extinction – your gift today could change that.
Will you help save endangered species?
Our corporate partners benefit from 35 years of experience in nature restoration so they can achieve real impact.
Become a Plantlife member today and together we will secure a world rich in plants and fungi
We are looking for up to 3 new Trustees who love nature and the environment as much as we do.
This is an opportunity for those who are keen to share their knowledge or lived experiences, and develop or apply your leadership, strategic and governance skills.
You will also be passionate about making a real impact in conserving and improving the state of nature in the UK, as well as advocating for more action to protect natural habitats.
The Trustees will play an active and direct role in guiding the charity, supporting the CEO and teams. And, whenever possible, inspiring members of the public to support Plantlife.
You don’t need previous Trustee experience but do need enthusiasm and interest in our work. We are looking for applicants who are willing to champion wild plants, fungi and the environment.
We welcome all applications, but are particularly keen to hear from under-represented groups and younger applicants (typically between the ages of 18-30).
We particularly welcome applications from those whose experience and skills can complement those currently represented.
We recognise that our Board is not as diverse as we would like it to be and recognise that a wide a range of voices and ages is essential in decision-making for wild-plants and fungi.
We would welcome first time trustee applicants (who would be fully supported in the role) and / or those with skills, experience or knowledge, in the following areas (please note all experience is welcome, not just from work settings):
The Trustee opportunities will be part of a team and supported throughout.
Trustee experience with Plantlife will develop leadership skills, enhance confidence and communications and provide experience of directly impacting the work delivered by Plantlife in the conservation of wild plants and fungi.
To apply, please refer to the Applicant guidance within the Trustee pack and email us at HRTeam@plantlife.org.uk to include:
Closing date for receipt of expressions of interest is Sunday 21 June 2026
